The position offers strong exposure to share schemes and EIS work, with the chance to take ownership of assignments while continuing to develop technically and professionally.
The Role Working closely with Managers and Partners, you will support a varied client portfolio across both compliance and advisory matters. Compliance will form the foundation of your work, with increasing involvement in advisory projects as your experience grows. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with share scheme annual reporting (ERS and EMI
40 returns) Supporting the implementation and ongoing management of tax-advantaged share schemes, including qualifying status reviews, advising on option grants to employees and consultants, valuations and compliance filings Contributing to advisory and compliance work across income tax, capital gains tax and corporation tax Supporting Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS and SEIS) matters, including qualifying status reviews, advance assurance applications and compliance statements Preparing and reviewing corporate, partnership and personal tax computations and HMRC filings Assisting with advisory reports and technical memos Responding to ad-hoc tax queries from clients and colleagues Attending client meetings, preparing notes and ensuring follow-up actions are completed Maintaining well-documented files with a clear audit trail and technical rationale Identifying potential risks and escalating appropriately, suggesting practical solutions where possible Managing deadlines across a varied portfolio and building strong client relationships Researching technical tax matters and presenting findings clearly and concisely About You You will ideally be: ATT qualified, with CTA underway Experienced across most of the areas outlined above, particularly share schemes and EIS work Technically strong with excellent attention to detail A confident communicator with strong written skills Proactive, organised and commercially aware Comfortable taking ownership of your work and working independently Positive in your approach to clients and colleagues The Offer The firm promotes a people-first culture, focused on long-term career development and employee wellbeing.
