OMB Tax Senior Manager

A brilliant Mixed Tax role, servicing an exciting and lucrative entrepreneurial client base. The work is very varied, which means we are seeking candidates with experience across a range of Taxes.

• Share scheme annual reporting (ERS and EMI
  40 returns).
• Share schemes: review qualifying status for tax advantaged schemes, advising on tax implications of providing options to staff/consultants, prepare valuations and undertake the relevant compliance requirements.
• Support the OMB team in all areas of compliance and advisory work across all taxes, principally share schemes and the Enterprise Investment Scheme, but also including income tax, capital gains tax and corporation tax.
• Enterprise Investment Scheme: review the qualifying status of companies, prepare advance assurances and assist with preparation of the relevant compliance statements.
• Supervise and train of more junior members of the team.
• Assist, as required, to prepare or review tax computations (corporate, partnership and personal) advisory memos/reports and associated HMRC filings.
• Assist both clients and colleagues with regards to any ad hoc tax related queries that they may have.
• Communicate with clients and attend client meetings. Prepare notes of meetings and ensure actions are followed up.
• Ensure that files are prepared with relevant correspondence and clear audit trail to demonstrate how conclusions have been reached.
• Where there are perceived risks, communicate this to ensure appropriate steps are taken, where relevant propose potential solutions.
• Assist with a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines are met and relationships are managed and developed.
• Assist with the preparation of advisory reports and memos.
