Head of Finance

We’re supporting a rapidly expanding, acquisitive manufacturing group operating across multiple UK locations. Following sustained growth and continued acquisitions, the organisation is now seeking a Head of Finance Operations to lead the evolution and centralisation of its transactional finance function.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for designing and embedding a scalable, centralised finance operations model across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and working capital management. You will play a critical role in integrating newly acquired entities, strengthening financial controls, and building a best‑in‑class operational finance structure to support future growth.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take full ownership of finance operations across the group. Your remit will include leading AP and AR teams across multiple sites, implementing consistent processes and controls, and delivering enhanced visibility of transactional performance across the organisation.

• Lead and develop the end‑to‑end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions across all UK sites
• Design and embed a centralised finance operations structure, integrating acquired businesses into group processes
• Standardise policies, procedures, and internal controls across all entities
• Improve working capital performance through enhanced cash collection and creditor management
• Develop and present operational finance KPIs and performance reporting to senior leadership
• Strengthen governance frameworks and ensure audit readiness across transactional finance
• Oversee finance systems enhancement and ensure effective process alignment and adoption
• Drive automation, scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead, coach, and develop finance operations teams across multiple locations
• Act as the senior finance operations contact for site leadership and executive stakeholders

• Significant experience leading finance operations or shared services functions in multi‑site environments
• Experience with in manufacturing, distribution or acquisitive organisations highly desirable
• Proven track record of centralising transactional finance following growth or acquisition
• Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and working capital management
• Experience improving or implementing finance systems
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability
• Strategic thinker with the ability to execute operational change
• Resilient and comfortable operating within a high‑growth, evolving business
