TheOpportunity
We are looking for a Vice President of Sales to help expand Numisma Bank’s footprint across African markets. This role is ideal for a commercially driven, in-market professional who can represent the Bank credibly at the highest levels and help originate and advance relationships with key financial institutions.
You will work closely with the SVP of Sales and cross-functional partners to grow our regional presence, support transaction execution, and build long-term client partnerships. You will support the SVP of Sales in executing the Bank’s Africa growth strategy, with an initial focus on selecting priority markets and scope expanding over time. While direct wholesale banknote experience is highly valued, strong adjacent experience combined with regional credibility and executive presence can be equally compelling.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Originate and develop client relationships with central banks, commercial banks, and government-linked financial institutions across Africa
- Collaborate with the EMEA team to onboard and maintain relationships with bank customers.
- Lead high‑level sales meetings with bank leadership, including governors, deputy governors, treasury heads, and executive teams
- Advance opportunities from initial engagement through execution in collaboration with Trading, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Legal
- Build and manage a regional pipeline, providing clear updates, forecasts, and market intelligence
- Represent Numisma Bank in client meetings, regional industry events, and conferences
- Contribute to regional go‑to‑market strategies and long‑term growth planning
- 10–15 years of total professional experience with progression in client‑facing, commercial, or financial services roles
- Experience operating in African financial markets
, with strong local or regional networks - Demonstrated ability to conduct high‑level commercial discussions with bank leadership and public‑sector stakeholders
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and communication skills in regulated, cross‑border environments
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across priority African markets
- Experience in wholesale banknotes or physical cash services (preferred, but not required)
- Experience selling FX, currency trading, treasury, payments, or liquidity solutions to banks or financial institutions
- Experience working with central banks
- French language capability (helpful but not required)
