Accounts Payable Lead

Equifind have teamed up with a great fintech firm, who are in search of an accounts payable lead, to join the business.

We need someone who has a track record of leading the accounts payable function in addition to revamping the entire AP function in a business.

• Take full ownership of the AP function and management of the team for the group
• Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders across the business to ensure strong relationships are maintained
• Manage the internal approvals and monitor the spend vs budget, working closely with the Financial Controller.
• Monitoring the central finance inboxes, ensuring all invoices are actioned on a timely manner, and revenue statements are forwarded to the relevant members of the team
• Be a key contact for liaising with administrators on processing payments and ensuring weekly payment run deadlines are met on a timely manner
• Review and reconciliation of invoice discrepancies
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of invoicing to the Group’s funds.
• Ensure that recharges to the Group’s funds are actioned and invoiced accurately and timelines
• Monitor the aged debt and ensure the timely payment of invoices
• Assist the treasury team to reconcile fee calculations, and other requirements to support the month end close
• Assisting the wider finance team with all audit and non-audit queries
• Enhancing the accounts payable processes and controls to ensure a robust financial framework for the future

The business has a wide range of interests and strategies and is diversifying all the time. Performance has been impressive over the years and the returns have been increasing year on year.

You will join a growing medium sized global finance team and have full ownership of this function, reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller. You’ll need to really investigate the current procedures in place and drive the change for the future.

• A proven AP track record with a minimum of 8 years’ experience
• Experience of working within fintech or software development
• Working knowledge of multiple accounting systems, ideally Net Suite
• Experience of the AR function is beneficial
• Be a self-starter and deliver reports in a timely and accurate manner

This exciting opportunity for an accounts payable lead will pay between £42, per annum, depending on your qualifications and industry experience.
