About Barclays Private Bank UK International
The Private Bank UK International supports HNW, UHNW and Family Office banking, investment and credit needs through dedicated Private Bankers and teams of investment and wealth specialists. PB UK International offers clients private banking services and caters to their bespoke private banking needs.
Key Accountabilities- New Business Origination – Identify, develop and secure new private banking relationships through personal and client referrals, Barclays Group internal networks and corporate and investment banking sources. Present to clients as a representative of the bank and as an investment professional to a variety of audiences. Achieve stretching personal and team targets for new clients, new assets and strong revenues. Contribute significantly to referring relevant business to other parts of PBWM and/or the Barclays Group.
- Investment Advice and Financial Solutions – Provide innovative and world‑class financial solutions to meet client needs, including:
- Investment Management – Offer bespoke, discretionary, advisory portfolios and work closely with Investment Advisors for a holistic service.
- Balance Sheet – Offer banking, credit and FX products to support borrowing needs for property and luxury purchases.
- Wealth Advisory – Provide fiduciary solutions, wealth planning, structuring services, trust and estate planning.
- Alternative Investments – Offer exposure to hedge funds, private equity, commodities and real estate.
- Corporate & Investment Banking – Enable clients to access institutional products through the Key Clients Team.
- Coordinate subject‑matter experts to negotiate and deliver complex solutions.
- Working as directed to achieve personal objectives and assist in achieving team targets for:
- new client acquisition
- net new asset acquisition
- net new credit acquisition
- net new investment acquisition
- revenues
- Governance and Control – Ensure conformity with global and market standards of client service, regulatory compliance, front‑office procedures, KYC, product delivery and operating model.
- Key clients (internal and external) – Maintain highest service levels for existing clients, act as key interface between clients and other parts of PBWM and the wider Barclays Group.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements, the Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal policies.
- Role is deemed a Certified role under PRA & FCA regulations; may require mandatory regulatory qualifications or meet internal benchmarks.
- Add breadth of experience in the geographical market; be fluent in local market, tax, estate planning and liquidity.
- Demonstrate success in developing and motivating people, implementing a vision that integrates key goals, balancing change and improving performance.
- Act as an active steward of the business, driving improvements across Private Bank and Barclays.
- Very strong relationship skills, experience handling sophisticated needs of individuals and families.
- Build substantial client base using internal and external networks, gain in‑depth understanding of client needs and advise on diverse wealth‑management solutions with high penetration ratios.
- Operate in a complex investment environment; satisfy criteria for an approved person where applicable; possess broad industry experience and regulatory knowledge.
- Significant external market presence and influence; recognized as a subject‑matter expert in the Turkish market.
- Educated to Degree level.
- Hold appropriate regulatory qualifications.
Language skills
The successful candidate will be fluent in English and Turkish.
