Senior Accountant - Energy Sector

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in the office)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Contract: Immediate start, ongoing role with potential extension beyond December

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to take the next step in your career. Our client, a leading organisation within the energy sector, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a fast-paced, international environment, supporting core financial operations and leading a small finance team.

• Prepare yearly Budget and the monthly Forecast
• Prepare monthly management accounts and maintain robust financial controls
• Oversee cash flow management and budgeting processes
• Coordinate the preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns
• Manage the relationship with the statutory auditor for the Financial Statements audit
• Review and manage invoices relating to client operations and liquids sales
• Lead and support a team of finance assistants, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Assist the Finance Manager with financial planning, analysis, and reporting

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable working within a multi-cultural, collaborative environment
