The role

We’re hiring a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day finance function within a growing, PE-backed SaaS / tech business. This is a hands‑on role reporting directly to the CEO, with regular exposure to the PE firm that owns the business. Ideal for someone looking for a genuine step up with real responsibility and visibility.

Key responsibilities
  • Ownership of monthly management accounts and close process
  • Production of a clear monthly management and board pack for the CEO and PE firm
  • Full responsibility for P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting
  • Cashflow forecasting and working capital management
  • Supplier payments and oversight of payment runs
  • Ownership of credit control and cash collection
  • Managing and developing a small finance team
  • Acting as the main finance partner to the CEO
  • Supporting investor reporting and ad‑hoc PE requests
  • Improving finance processes, controls and reporting cadence
  • Supporting financial models using historic and forward‑looking data

Payroll is outsourced. This role is focused on insight, accuracy and control, not admin.

The profile
  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Trained in practice, ideally Big 4 or top‑tier firm
  • Currently operating in industry, ideally within an SME or scale‑up
  • Comfortable in a PE‑backed environment
  • Confident producing board‑level reporting and explaining the numbers
  • Commercial, hands‑on and detail‑oriented
  • Happy getting stuck in and owning the detail
