Our client, a global investment management firm is seeking to recruit an Equity Research Analyst to primarily cover the global Oil & Gas sector.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed bottom-up equity analysis of specific companies in the Oil & Gas sector
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and develop an in-depth investment thesis for recommendations
• Generate investment ideas for inclusion in relevant portfolios
• Present compelling and well-articulated investment ideas to express convictions in research conclusions
• Keep research up to date for companies already in the portfolios
• Regularly interact with company management and produce investment notes on earnings calls, conferences and management meetings

Candidate Requirements

• Relevant equity research experience on the buy-side or sell-side
• Relevant work experience and knowledge of the oil & gas sector
• CFA Charter holder or working towards qualification
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Willingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment process
• Good team player who is able to work within a collaborative, results orientated working environment
• Self-awareness and the humility to admit and learn from mistakes
