Professional & Financial Lines Technician

A London Market insurance broker is seeking a Professional & Financial Lines Technician to provide high-quality technical and premium processing support to its Professional & Financial Lines Broking team. This role will support the placement and servicing of Financial Lines insurance risks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and delivery of a high standard of service to both clients and insurers.

• Support brokers in the placement and servicing of Financial Lines policies, including D&O, PI, Crime and Cyber.

• Prepare, process, and issue insurance documentation including Quotations, MRCs, Endorsements, Debit Notes, and Credit Notes.

• Ensure all documentation complies with FCA, internal, and London Market requirements.

• Process premiums, APs and RPs in line with agreed terms and market procedures.

• Liaise with clients, insurers, and finance teams to resolve premium and accounting queries.

• Assist with the production and processing of bordereaux where applicable.

• Maintain accurate records of placements, premiums, and bordereaux.

• Support compliance requirements under the AR framework and internal standards.

• Assist with reporting and data analysis to support management and board updates.

• Prior experience as a Financial Lines Technician within the London Market.

• Understanding of Financial Lines products (D&O, Professional Indemnity, Crime, Cyber), or a strong willingness to develop technical expertise.

• Familiarity with London Market processes and documentation.

• Experience using broking systems (e.g. Whitespace or similar platforms).

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

• Proactive, collaborative team player with high professional standards and integrity.
