The Role
We are seeking a highly capable Financial Consolidation Manager to lead group reporting, statutory accounts, and consolidation processes across Baller League’s operating entities
This is a critical role at the heart of the finance function, responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency as the business grows in scale and complexity.
You will work closely with senior leadership, external auditors, and cross-functional teams to build best-in-class financial reporting and control frameworks.
Key Responsibilities Group Reporting & Consolidation- Prepare statutory and management accounts at both company and Group level, including full consolidations.
- Take ownership of quarterly Group reporting cycles, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
- Maintain group reporting structures and consolidation models.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations monthly, ensuring all working papers are completed to a high standard.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and financial records.
- Support the development and maintenance of robust internal controls.
- Help ensure internal systems and processes are appropriate for the scale and complexity of the business, driving improvements where required.
- Support on all technical accounting matters, including complex transactions and new accounting standards.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accounting policies and documentation.
- Support the annual audit process and act as a key point of contact with external auditors.
- Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to audit queries.
- Coordinate delivery of statutory filings and regulatory submissions.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and controls.
- Support finance systems implementation and optimisation.
- Develop scalable reporting frameworks to support international growth.
- Partner with FP&A, commercial, and operational teams to support accurate reporting.
- Provide financial insights to senior management.
- Support ad hoc projects including fundraising, expansion, and strategic initiatives.
- 4+ years’ experience in financial reporting, consolidation, or audit.
- Background in practice (Big 4 / Top 10) and/or industry preferred.
- Experience preparing group accounts and consolidations.
- Experience supporting statutory audits.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
- Exposure to multi-entity, fast-growth, or international businesses is desirable.
- Someone that rolls up their sleeves and executes.
