DRAX Altus is delighted to be supporting a leading, global, private equity fund in the appointment of an Investment Partner to drive its Tech-Enabled Business Services strategy across high-growth markets. The firm manages multi-billion capital across private equity and adjacent strategies and is continuing to build out its technology-focused investment capability. This role will take ownership of sourcing, executing, and overseeing investments across software, IT services, outsourcing, and digital infrastructure themes.

The incoming leader will combine deep sector insight with strong transaction capability and portfolio judgement, helping shape investment strategy, capital deployment, and long-term value delivery across dynamic and evolving markets.

THE ROLE:

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with founders, intermediaries, sector specialists, and co-investors across the technology ecosystem.
  • Lead the full investment lifecycle, including origination, due diligence, financial modelling, structuring, negotiation, and completion.
  • Present investment opportunities to the Investment Committee, articulating risk, return profile, and strategic fit.
  • Identify opportunities across growth equity, buyouts, structured transactions, and strategic minority investments.
  • Take board roles and work closely with management teams to drive strategic execution and operational improvement.
  • Partner with internal portfolio support teams to enhance performance, governance standards, and sustainability practices.
  • Oversee portfolio construction within mandate guidelines and risk parameters.
  • Drive exit planning and value realisation strategies.
  • Act as a key internal and external point of contact for the vertical, supporting LP dialogue and market positioning.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, contributing to a high-performance, entrepreneurial culture.
  • Collaborate across the wider investment platform to identify cross-strategy opportunities.
THE REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience:

    Significant transaction experience within technology investing or advisory, ideally with exposure to emerging or high-growth markets.
  • Sector Expertise:
    Strong understanding of competitive dynamics in software, IT services, digital platforms, and technology-enabled services.
  • Network:
    Established relationships across banks, advisers, corporates, and private capital stakeholders.
  • Execution

    Skills:

    Proven ability to lead complex transactions from origination through to exit.
