Our client is a highly respected mid‑market M&A advisory business, specialising in people‑driven sectors including Technology, Consulting, Human Capital, Media, and Digital Marketing. They are seeking a high‑calibre M&A Associate to join their London office and take ownership of sell‑side advisory assignments, working closely with senior leadership to drive transactions from start to finish.
Based in their Central London office, this role is predominantly sell‑side, with occasional exposure to buy‑side opportunities. The M&A Associate will be responsible for managing key aspects of live deals, including client interaction, financial analysis, and deal execution. The position offers significant autonomy, the chance to run transactions alongside a Partner, and exposure to a strong pipeline of deal flow.
This is a premium, client‑facing role requiring a highly organised, commercially minded individual with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative, high‑performing team and be comfortable managing clients and deals with professionalism and precision.
Duties & Responsibilities- Manage live sell‑side transactions from start to finish, including financial analysis, valuation support, and preparation of marketing materials.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact throughout the transaction process.
- Support deal execution, liaising with buyers, legal teams, and other advisors to ensure smooth delivery.
- Collaborate with Partners and senior colleagues to identify deal opportunities and strategic advisory insights.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and broader business initiatives as required.
- Maintain high standards of compliance, confidentiality, and client service at all times.
- Background in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or related advisory services.
- Series 63 or Series 79 certification is highly desirable.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a client‑facing transaction role (mid‑market exposure preferred).
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and valuation skills.
- Confident managing clients and executing transactions with autonomy.
- Naturally driven, ambitious, and results‑oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to work from the London office 2–3 days per week in a hybrid arrangement.
- Interest and/or experience in Technology, Consulting, Human Capital, Media, or Digital Marketing sectors strongly preferred.
- Take ownership of live sell‑side transactions with full deal‑running responsibility.
