Job description:

We are seeking a motivated Senior VAT Accountant/ Manager to join our global tax team. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax and working alongside team members in the US, India, and the UK, this role supports global tax compliance, transfer pricing, indirect tax, and tax accounting initiatives. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

While this role is remote within the UK, the candidate should be available to travel to London for in‑person meetings when company leadership is in town, typically two to three times per year. These visits generally last around three days per trip, though total travel time may occasionally exceed ten days per year.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Provide support during the global tax provision process.
  • Perform UK VAT, EU VAT, and GST taxes computations and reconciliation; prepare filing data and coordinate with third‑party compliance providers.
  • Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions; assist in compiling global files and maintaining TP policies.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reconciliations, including tax balances and payable accounts.
  • Respond to queries from external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
  • Provide support during statutory audits, including preparing reconciliations and documentation for tax‑related disclosures.
  • Assist with WHT and indirect tax registrations and filings as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline global tax compliance and reporting.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of tax compliance trackers and documentation libraries (tax‑exempt certificates, W‑8s, residency certificates, etc.).
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, controls, and automation of routine tasks.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Finance, Accounting, and Legal teams to ensure robust tax governance, timely reporting, and compliance in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
Working pattern:

London Hybrid or UK remote

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; ACA, ACCA, or equivalent UK qualification preferred.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate tax, indirect tax, or transfer pricing—ideally in a Big 4, Tier 2, or multinational environment.
  • Working knowledge of UK and international tax concepts, particularly indirect taxes and intercompany arrangements.
  • Proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and One Drive. Experience with Net Suite is a plus.
