Title:
Estate Accounts Assistant

Location - West London

£35k- £40k
Excellent bonus potential

On site 4 days a week/Home 1 day a week

The role:

To have the sole responsibility of the management and control of the cashiering and credit control function for service charges and operational costs.

Duties:
  • Review of all incoming payments and allocations to tenant ledgers.
  • Investigate unallocated monies held in suspense account.
  • Monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Contact clients via phone, email, or mail to follow up on outstanding payments, negotiate payment plans, and resolve any payment-related queries
  • Issue monthly statements to tenants.
  • Follow legal procedures to recover outstanding debt.
  • Coordinate tenant refunds.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on outstanding debts, payment trends, and credit risk assessment for management review.
  • Month end reporting on outstanding debts.
  • Producing quarterly rent collection statistics.
  • Develop the periodic reports as per owner requests.
  • Maintain accurate tenant information on the database.
  • Liaise with the database provider (Yardi) and develop the software for the benefit.
  • Supporting the accounts payable function
  • Suggesting, promoting, and implementing system and reporting improvements, enhancing management information, and strengthening financial controls / processes.
  • Therole will contribute to the implementation of a Purchase Order Management system, system reporting enhancements, banking reporting structures, and the initiation of an internal audit program.
Requirements:
  • Previous property experience
  • Strong Credit Control and Treasury experience
  • Bank reconciliation experience
  • An excellent work attitude with attention to detail a must.
