Job Purpose:
To provide advice, information and guidance to ensure that Financial Crime risk is managed appropriately and in line with applicable regulations for the EMEA region
Responsibilities- To assist the Chief Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Head of Financial Crime Prevention EMEA (the MLRO), and Deputies to ensure timely and effective risk based review and decisions on Financial Crime matters for EMEA
- To act as a Deputy Nominated Officer under the UK Money Laundering Regulations, and support the MLRO and Deputies in the execution of their duties and external reporting obligations.
- To review and resolve queries and escalations from other teams or refer to the Deputies, MLRO or senior management for approval as appropriate.
- To provide the business with advice and guidance on FCP risk in the context of relevant regulatory obligations and business requirements
- To work with the business to ensure that the firm establishes and maintains appropriate policies, procedures, systems and controls (including within IT development and business projects)
- Providing support to line management in its liaison with regulators, auditors (internal & external) other group companies and external organisations where appropriate.
- Provide Financial Crime Prevention education, awareness and training to the business as required
- Develop and strengthen relationships across the organisation to promote best practice and ensure a good understanding of Financial Crime requirements
- Leading a team of staff and providing regular coaching and advice regarding Financial Crime Prevention.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time
