SLR Consulting is seeking a capable and motivated Mining Finance and Investment Specialist to strengthen the financial and commercial capability of our Mining Advisory Team. This senior‑track role is ideal for an individual with strong foundational experience in mining and finance who is ready to accelerate their development and step confidently into a leadership position with guidance from our established senior staff.

You will contribute robust financial analysis across the mining value chain, shaping investment decisions, supporting transactions, and providing clients with commercially grounded insights into project economics and capital strategy. You will also gain exposure to managing multidisciplinary project teams, particularly in the context of due diligence and complex advisory assignments.
** The role
*** Build, refine, and interpret advanced mining financial models for studies, operations, and investment assessments.
* Lead or support project valuation and economic evaluations, including sensitivities, risk quantification, and scenario modelling.
* Conduct finance due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, investments, and project financing.
* Provide strategic commercial insight to clients, investors, and lenders, with clear, defensible conclusions.
* Integrate technical, operational, market, and ESG considerations into balanced financial assessments.
* Work within and gradually take on leadership of multidisciplinary teams, ensuring coordinated delivery of complex due diligence and advisory projects.
* Collaborate closely with technical specialists across SLR to produce high‑quality, integrated advisory outputs.
* Exposure to global mining projects and high‑profile investment and transaction mandates.
* A collaborative, multidisciplinary environment spanning technical, ESG, and commercial advisory.
* A strong, experienced project management team to support you as you step into leading complex, multi‑disciplinary assignments.

** About you
*** Experience in mining, finance, project modelling, valuation methodologies, investment analysis, and transaction support.
* Background in consulting, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity within the mining or resources sector.
* Strong understanding of mining project development, operating cost structures, capital markets, and sector‑specific risks.
* Prior exposure to managing or coordinating multidisciplinary teams (formal accreditation not required).
* Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights effectively at senior and executive levels.
* Degree in finance, engineering, geoscience, economics, or a related discipline.
