Indirect Tax Assistant Manager

We are searching for our client, a global Social Media company, an Indirect Tax Assistant Manager to join their business in the UK.

Position Type: FTE, 4 months

Start Date: ASAP

Location: London, UK, Onsite - 4 days per week, 1 remote (5 days from September)

This role supports regional tax operations with a focus on indirect tax (VAT) compliance and advisory. You will work closely with Finance, Legal, and business teams to ensure accurate filings, practical tax guidance, and scalable tax processes across multiple European markets.

• Support UK and EU VAT compliance, including returns, registrations, and filings
• Partner with Finance teams on VAT treatment, invoicing guidance, and ledger reviews
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate submissions
• Support indirect tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions
• Provide tax support for business projects, launches, and operational queries
• Assist with tax authority correspondence, audits, and compliance enquiries
• Contribute to tax process improvements, automation, and systems enhancements

• 3+ years’ experience in indirect tax / VAT (industry or professional services)
• Strong understanding of UK and EU VAT frameworks
• Experience working cross-functionally with Finance and Legal teams
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Clear communicator of technical tax topics to non-tax stakeholders

• Experience in tech, digital, or e-commerce environments
• Exposure to multi-country European tax compliance
• Interest in improving tax processes through systems and automation
