Financial Controller - Macro Hedge Fund

Attribution Search is partnering a leading multi-billion dollar global macro hedge fund as it hires a Financial Controller into its London finance function.

With an established international presence and continued growth across key markets, the firm is strengthening its corporate finance infrastructure to support the next phase of expansion. This role offers strong visibility within a lean, high-performing team operating at the core of the business.

The Financial Controller will take responsibility for overseeing the financial management of the firm’s management entities and supporting robust reporting across jurisdictions. This is a practical, detail-oriented role suited to a qualified accountant who enjoys being close to the numbers, maintaining control frameworks, and improving finance processes within a fast-paced investment environment.

• Oversee ledger integrity and coordinate accounting activities across internal teams and third-party providers
• Drive the monthly close process, including preparation and review of accruals, journals and management reporting
• Support the production of statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors
• Work closely with tax, compliance and global finance colleagues on regulatory and reporting requirements
• Ensure a strong internal control environment, enhancing documentation and audit readiness
• Identify opportunities for systems optimisation and workflow efficiencies

• 4+ years’ experience in accounting or finance
• Background in hedge fund, asset management or broader financial services preferred
• Sound understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP
• Confident communicator with experience working across teams and jurisdictions
