Execution Trader – Buy side firm, Equities

Octavius Finance is working with a well-respected buy-side firm seeking an experienced Equity Execution Trader to join their Global Equities team. The fund runs a sophisticated, high-performing investment platform with a significant international portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for an execution specialist with strong technical ability and exceptional communication skills to contribute to a highly respected team.

Partner closely with portfolio management teams to manage execution risks and deliver solutions that implement investment views across global equities markets, covering both cash instruments and derivatives.

Utilise a range of execution methods (voice and electronic) to ensure efficient and effective trade implementation.

Work directly with portfolio managers to manage execution risk and support the expression of the team’s investment views.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and liquidity providers.

Generate market insights and deliver valuable analysis to internal stakeholders.

Strong background in EMEA cash equities and derivatives.

Passion for leveraging data to gain insight and improve decision‑making.

Solid understanding of Python and the ability to apply it in an execution context.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders.
