Cornspring is redefining Family Office services by applying state‑of‑the‑art generative AI and Large Language Models to investment, accounting, and operational data. Our platform delivers faster insights, greater transparency, and entirely new ways of interacting with financial information.

Role

As a Fund Accountant at Cornspring, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial data across the platform. You will support the firm's data processes for reporting and analytics, ensuring that outputs meet the standards expected by sophisticated institutional investors and family offices.

You will act as a bridge between financial reporting, operational workflows, and product development – reviewing financial outputs, refining accounting classifications, and contributing to the evolution of Cornspring's accounting and reporting capabilities.

You will work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to ensure that financial statements, NAV calculations, and transaction reporting are robust, transparent, and aligned with industry best practices.

You will be reviewing outputs and helping improve the underlying data model, controls, and automation that produce them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Cornspring's Portfolio analysis and reporting services ensuring accuracy and timeliness of outputs.
  • Review and validate NAV calculations, reconciliations, and financial statements across a range of asset classes and structures.
  • Oversee transaction processing, valuations, and income allocations to ensure correct reporting.
  • Manage reconciliations with custodians, administrators, and other third‑party service providers.
  • Contribute to the development and quality assurance of automated accounting workflows within the platform.
  • Refine accounting data classifications and chart of accounts structures to ensure scalability and analytical coherence.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering and data teams to support reporting development, testing, and ongoing enhancement of client‑facing financial outputs.
Requirements
  • Qualified or part‑qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent fund accounting experience.
  • Strong foundation in fund accounting principles, including NAV calculation, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with complex investment structures and multiple asset classes.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards relevant to investment vehicles (e.g. IFRS or UK GAAP).
  • Experience liaising with custodians, administrators, auditors, and other service providers.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Being comfortable operating in ambiguity, documenting decisions, and building repeatable processes.
  • Familiarity with asset management, family offices, hedge funds, or private markets environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with accounting systems or data platforms in a technology‑enabled environment is a plus.
