Position Overview
Citi is seeking a Placement Analyst to join the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team in London, starting June 2026. The ECM business works with corporate, private equity and government clients, providing advisory services on IPOs, Accelerated Equity Offerings (AEOs), Rights Issues and other capital‑raising projects. The 6‑month program trains and develops key talent to help companies and governments raise capital, and successful analysts will be considered for a full‑time role after graduation.
Responsibilities- Develop pitchbooks and execute ECM mandates for Citi clients, working closely with M&A, Financing and Debt Capital Markets teams; interact with clients and senior management.
- Manage the transaction process, including compliance checks, committee approvals, and liaising with research compliance; collaborate with senior bankers on transaction terms.
- Analyse financial data and develop financial models such as stand‑alone company valuations, discounted cash flow, financing, comparative and pro‑forma analyses.
- Establish a regular dialogue with Citi’s global sales force, understand the investor base, and coordinate activities across the franchise.
- In your penultimate year of university or graduated, expected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in any discipline.
- Available to start in June 2026.

The role is based at 33 Canada Square Canary Wharf – London, E14 5LB
. It offers a hybrid model: a mandatory three days in the assigned office and an optional two days from home, subject to business approval.
