OverviewAn extremely reputable Investment firm with over £10 billion in assets under management is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their Finance team. The successful applicant will be part of the Finance team and will be responsible for supporting the Group Finance team with month-end and accounts receivable responsibilities.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is keen to develop their career in a growing investment manager.
Your Responsibilities- Monitor incoming payments, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely collection of all receivables.
- Follow up on outstanding balances, send reminders, and manage overdue accounts, working closely with internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile accounts receivable records with the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Prepare monthly AR reports, detailing outstanding balances, aged debtors, and cash flow projections for management review.
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, e.g., posting monthly bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to streamline the accounts receivable function and enhance financial controls.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts receivable transactions are accurately reflected in the financial statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies between bank statements and internal records.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is essential
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts receivable or finance role
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial records and transactions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies and manage challenging accounts
