My client, an award-winning film and television production company based in the West End, is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join their team during an exciting period of growth.

Behind multiple Emmy and Golden Globe-winning productions, they're expanding their global slate and need someone who can bridge production accounting expertise with strategic commercial finance.

• 4 to 5+ years in production accounting (film/TV) or working in a finance role in film/TV
• Strong knowledge of tax credits and incentives
• Strong financial modelling and FP&A skills
• Commercial acumen to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment
• Movie Magic knowledge beneficial

• Evaluate project profitability from development through greenlight
• Evaluating project profitability from the development phase up to the formal green lighting decision which includes preparing detailed finance plans and assisting in the financial close process with the Finance Director
• Advising on the appropriateness of budget structures to optimise tax credit opportunities including organising and administering tax credit claims (and collection) in the UK and overseas
• Preparing (with the assistance of the production accountant) and managing multiple currency production cash flows for projects and the foreign exchange risk associated with projects
• Scrutinising and interrogating cost reports from production partners and production accountants including attending weekly production calls
• Being the lead finance contact (and first point of contact) on production and distribution entities including being responsible for all financial reporting, audit and compliance matters up to delivery of the first royalty statement to profit participants
• Having the commercial acumen & confidence to challenge assumptions provided by senior leads

• With the assistance of the FD & FC being involved in the strategic plan, annual budget and forecasting process including:
• Updating the existing investor model for new information and business opportunities
• Controlling the update and review of project performance which impacts the annual budget and forecasting process
• Delivering effective and added-value due diligence
• Ongoing re-forecasting throughout the release of the projects as well as the onward reporting to participants.
• Updating and improving cash flow forecasts for short and medium term coverage
• Assist in scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to ensure the business is driving towards financial success.
• Helping develop the financial and commercial strategy of the business.
