Investment Risk Business Analyst – Investment Management.

A leading global Investment Manager is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep subject matter expertise in Investment Risk and experience working directly with Portfolio Managers and Investment Risk Teams. The successful candidate will bring front office exposure and act as a trusted advisor, partnering with business stakeholders to shape how technology can best support the growth of the businesses. The role also involves acting as a domain SME in Investment Risk and partnering with business leaders to shape and prioritise initiatives.

This position follows a hybrid working model, with three days per week in the office.

• Collaborate with front office investment risk and analytics teams; work with Portfolio Managers and Investment Risk Teams to understand needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and shape technology strategy to support business growth.
• Serve as a domain subject matter expert in Investment Risk and partner with business leaders to shape and prioritise initiatives.

• Experience as a Business Analyst within Asset Management, ideally supporting front office investment risk and/or analytics teams.
• Understanding of investment risk concepts (e.g., VaR, tracking error, duration risk), performance measurement frameworks, and attribution methodologies (e.g., Brinson, factor-based) across asset classes.
• Familiarity with tools such as MSCI Risk Manager, MSCI Barra One, and Fact Set.
• Understand key operational challenges in Asset Management such as ABOR/IBOR, benchmarks, look-through logic, and instrument modelling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of stakeholder engagement and influencing senior decision-makers.
