International Tax Manager

** Role Overview:
** We are seeking an experienced International Tax Manger to join our Group Tax Team. This role will be the lead for International Tax matters globally, and will have day-to-day oversight of the APAC region, including compliance and reporting. This role will work closely across the tax and finance team and the business to provide broad support on cross-border initiatives and structuring.

This role will have exposure to other advisory areas including operational taxes and transfer pricing. The role will suit a candidate with a varied International Tax and advisory background who is looking to apply technical experience in the practical context of a global financial services business. Financial services experience is preferred, but not essential.

* Role Responsibilities:

*** Oversight of tax compliance and reporting for APAC, working closely with Finance and our global outsourced service provider.
* Tax lead in the group’s Change Management Framework, co-ordinating with other members of Group Tax and Finance, to ensure the business is provided with timely advice on cross-border initiatives.
* Provide tax support for international structuring and legal entity rationalisation initiatives.
* Support for Pillar 2 (global minimum tax), with responsibility for ensuring compliance within APAC.
* Support the Indirect Tax lead on operational tax matters.
* Work closely with other colleagues in the Finance and Operations teams to enable them to efficiently support the work of the Tax team.
* Participate in initiatives to improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function, and proactive identification and implementation of process improvements.
** Experience / Competences
** Essential* 6+ years of International Tax advisory experience, including analysis of technical matters such as PE risk and withholding tax matters, in the context of large groups
* Compliance and reporting experience in an international context
* Working knowledge of Pillar 2 requirements
* Tax accounting skills, including knowledge of IFRS.
* ACA or ACCA qualified. CTA qualification also beneficial.
* Strong organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to balance multiple assignments and successfully manage work plans and deadlines.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to handle on-going change.

Desirable
* European or other language skills.
* Regulatory or Financial services experience.
