Finance Systems Manager - ERP Transformation - Banking
Excellent opportunity opens up to join a fast-growing UK bank as a Finance Systems Manager, taking ownership of a major ERP transformation. You will play a central role in the implementation of Workday, driving delivery across Finance and IT and shaping how finance systems operate across the business. This is a highly visible role with real ownership, where you will influence system design, integration, and process improvement at scale.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accounting software and systems, ensuring alignment with financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
- Lead the integration of new financial systems and enhancements, ensuring seamless transition and data accuracy.
- Conduct reviews of financial systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce best practices for financial data management.
- Provide training and support across finance team members on accounting systems and tools.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Drive documentation of system processes and procedures.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Operates in line with the Bank's Risk Management framework (including sub-frameworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager.
- Have advanced knowledge of accounting software, financial reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams but with good ability to work independently when required.
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Be a problem solver and have a strong drive to move things forward.
- Be able to maintain a backlog and prioritise workloads as required.
- Have a methodical approach and a keen understanding of IT (from either a technical or developer perspective) as the role has a high degree of interaction with the IT department.
