Senior Portfolio Actuary

Role Summary

The Portfolio Actuary will develop and maintain sophisticated risk models tailored to non‑standard market segments, incorporate the latest actuarial and statistical techniques, and build practical tools, dashboards, and self‑service analytics to support decision‑making across the business. The role also involves leadership on pricing, collaboration with reserving, finance, claims, and operations, and integration of insights into a holistic and commercially effective pricing strategy.

• Develop and maintain complex risk models for non‑standard motor insurance markets.
• Integrate advanced actuarial and statistical techniques into modelling approaches and data structures.
• Create and maintain dashboards, tools, and self‑service analytics for business teams.
• Provide thought leadership on pricing to enhance team capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with reserving, finance, claims, and operations teams to incorporate cross‑functional insights into pricing processes.

• Prior general insurance pricing experience, preferably in the UK motor market.
• Experience in portfolio management is preferred.
• Strong numerical and academic background, with progress toward or attainment of actuarial qualification.
• Proficiency with modern analytics tools such as Python and Databricks.
