Financial Reporting Manager Manchester Salary up to circa £60,000 We are supporting our client in the search for a Financial Reporting Manager to join a growing Group Finance function within a listed professional services business. This newly created role will take ownership of group financial reporting, consolidation, and technical accounting, playing a key role in the preparation of IFRS financial statements and supporting senior stakeholders across the business.

The position is suited to a qualified accountant with strong IFRS/UK GAAP expertise and experience in financial reporting or audit, looking to step into a technical role with leadership responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead month-end close and internal management reporting processes Own monthly, half-year, and year-end reporting cycles Support preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS Manage audit deliverables and resolve audit queries Produce technical accounting papers (IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 2, IFRS
3) for CFO and Audit Committee review Provide technical accounting support across Group Finance Manage and develop two direct reports Partner with FP&A, business partnering, systems, and finance operations teams Support ad hoc projects including process improvement, automation, and acquisitions Essential: ACA or ACCA qualified Strong IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge Experience preparing or auditing consolidated financial statements Background in practice or industry financial reporting / technical accounting role Advanced Excel and strong working paper skills Strong written communication, particularly technical accounting papers High attention to detail and structured working approach Strong stakeholder management skills across finance and non-finance teams Exposure to professional services or complex group structures is advantageous A strong opportunity for a technically skilled finance professional looking to step into a senior group reporting role with leadership responsibility and broad exposure across a complex organisation.
