Project / GMP Specialist - Manager

Join Isio’s Projects Team, a specialist team focused on delivering complex project work across our actuarial and administration business. This role will involve supporting the delivery of large-scale, data-intensive, and technically challenging projects in areas such as Benefit Rectification, Insurance Readiness, and GMP Equalisation.

This role can be based in any of our Isio offices in a hybrid workstyle. It is a national role, offering the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients and collaborate with colleagues across the business.

We are open to considering those looking for a permanent role, a fixed term contract, or if readily available, a shorter-term day rate contract.

What does the role entail?
  • Support the end-to-end delivery of large and complex actuarial and data projects.
  • Take responsibility for key work streams within projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to timelines.
  • Contribute to project planning and help coordinate delivery team activities.
  • Build effective working relationships with clients, acting as a day-to-day contact.
  • Deliver solutions for complex and non-standard cases, escalating where appropriate.
  • Apply technical knowledge to support decision-making and help guide more junior team members.
  • Contribute to resolving data and actuarial challenges within projects.
  • Support the development of solutions for niche and complex actuarial issues.
  • Work closely with the technical team, initially focusing on GMP Equalisation, with opportunities to broaden into other areas.
  • Work across multiple offices and teams, building strong internal relationships.
  • Support knowledge sharing and contribute to developing best practices within the Projects Team.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members where appropriate.
What we’re looking for?
  • Actuarial or pensions project experience, particularly in GMP Equalisation, Benefit Rectification, or Insurance Readiness or similar project work.
  • Experience contributing to large or complex projects, including ownership of work streams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle technical challenges.
  • Good client-facing skills and ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience working across multiple projects or clients is advantageous.
