Zanda is partnering with a high-growth, investor-backed business operating within the energy, technology and subscription sectors to appoint a Finance Manager. Having recently achieved profitability and continuing to experience strong growth, the business is looking for a capable and ambitious qualified accountant to strengthen its finance function and support the next phase of scale. This is a broad and highly visible role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of core finance operations, improve reporting and controls, and drive process improvements across a complex and rapidly evolving business.
The RoleReporting into senior leadership, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function while building the processes, reporting and controls required to support continued growth.
The successful candidate will be hands‑on, operationally strong and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment where they can make a tangible impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities- Own the monthly management accounts process and improve reporting accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, including payables, receivables and cash management
- Support critical supplier and subcontractor payment processes
- Improve project and operational profitability reporting
- Strengthen financial controls, reconciliations and month‑end procedures
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities and systems enhancements
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide commercial and operational insight
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Experience with in project‑based, operationally complex or recurring revenue businesses
- Strong management accounting and financial control background
- Advanced Excel skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Comfortable operating in a scaling, entrepreneurial environment
- Passionate about improving processes, driving efficiencies and embracing new technologies
