Financial Accountant

We are working with a well-established West End property investment and management business seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team.

The firm manages a UK-wide portfolio of 700+ units across both commercial and residential assets. Their client base includes private investors, family offices and corporates, supported by an in‑house team covering investment, development, surveying and finance. The business forms part of a wider global real‑estate‑focused asset management group and operates to RICS and FCA standards. This is a broad, hands‑on role with exposure across reporting, tax and core accounting in a dynamic property environment.

• Update all client bank accounts
• Update shareholders loan accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Reconcile balance sheet items
• Prepare accruals, deferred income, accrued income and prepayments
• Check management fees are correct
• Review expenditure
• Comfortable with currencies would be an advantage
• Finalise accounts and forward to relevant parties
• File accounts

• Prepare tax return
• File tax returns
• Reconcile differences with HMRC statement and liaise with HMRC

• Respond to queries from directors, shareholders and external accountants
• Run quarterly client reports on Tramps and send to clients
• Ad-hoc reporting and investigations when required

• Experience of preparing and filing VAT returns, including partial exemption would be an advantage

• Company formation with Companies House
• Filing of confirmation statements and updating Companies House
• VAT registration and Option to Tax notification

• Fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
• Experience in a similar role, ideally within property or real estate
• Strong knowledge of VAT and corporation tax
