Management Accountant

Location: South West London, hybrid (3 days per week in office)

Contract: Temporary, 3 months

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £26.90 per hour (+ holiday) (£52,599.15 salaried equivalent)

Start Date: July

Prospectus is pleased to be partnering with a London-based healthcare charity in the search for an interim Management Accountant.

This role will focus on delivering accurate and timely management accounts, leading the quarterly reforecasting process, and supporting the organisation through a live external audit. The postholder will also play a key role in maintaining continuity within the finance function during a period of transition.

Please note, a basic DBS check will be required.

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations
• Support and guide the team through a mid-year audit period

• Produce timely and accurate management accounts
• Support the external audit process through to completion

• Lead the quarterly reforecasting process
• Provide meaningful financial insight to support decision-making

• Partner with the Director of Finance during a period of team change
• Contribute to shaping the future structure of the finance function

• Maintain statutory registers
• Ensure compliance with charity sector regulations and internal controls

• Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector
• Comfortable stepping into a role during a live audit environment
• Full accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of UK charity finance regulations
• Advanced Excel and strong financial systems experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator, able to build relationships across the organisation
• Proactive and collaborative approach
