As we continue to grow, we're looking for a talented and ambitious Financial Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in supporting accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and informed business decision-making.

The OpportunityReporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the wider finance team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting statutory and tax compliance activities. You'll gain exposure across the finance function, partnering with FP&A and operational teams while contributing to process improvements that help drive business performance.
What You'll Be Doing;- Financial Reporting & Month-End Close.
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Support the month-end close process through the preparation of journals, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting working papers
- Assist in the production of management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Deliver insightful variance analysis and commentary against budget, forecasts, and prior periods
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies promptly
- Maintain robust financial control processes and contribute to a strong control environment
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end audit requirements
- Assist with tax reporting and compliance activities
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with FP&A to ensure costs and revenues are accurately recorded and understood
- Collaborate across finance teams to improve data quality and reporting efficiency
- Support reporting enhancement projects and process improvement initiatives
- Stay current with accounting developments and industry best practice, applying these to improve reporting quality and compliance
- Part-qualified accountant (AAT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong financial accounting knowledge and understanding of month-end processes including UK VAT
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modelling techniques
Experience using Salesforce, Financial Force, or similar ERP/CRM systems
- Experience with in telecommunications, infrastructure, utilities, or project-based environmen
- Exposure to statutory accounts preparation and external audits
