Financial Accountant

Global Accounting Network is partnering with a well-established Architecture firm with turnover exceeding £70m to recruit a Financial Accountant on a 9-month fixed-term contract
.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting audit requirements, and providing financial insight across a growing international business.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and relevant accounting standards.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Support the annual external audit process.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance.
• Support financial reporting across international entities, including Middle East operations.
• Analyse financial and project performance data to support business decision-making.
• Partner with project managers and stakeholders across the business.
• Drive improvements to financial processes, systems and internal controls.

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or equivalent professional experience with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
• Experience with in a professional services environment is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards.
• Experience working within multi-entity and/or multi-currency businesses.
• Confident using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective communicator with a collaborative approach.

• Salary of £55,000 - £60,000.
