Location: Greater London
I am supporting a London Borough to recruit an experienced Interim Management Accountant to support the transformation with a focus on Children's Services. This is a key role within the finance team, providing financial support, analysis and effective business partnering during a period of change in the team
Key responsibilities:- Lead on budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting for Children's Services
- Provide clear and accurate financial analysis to support decision-making
- Deliver robust cost management and savings tracking
- Support the preparation of budgets and medium-term financial planning
- Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) or demonstrably qualified by experience
- Strong background in management accounting within a local authority setting
- Proven experience supporting Children's Services
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge and analytical capability
- Track record of effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
