Actuarial Consultant DB

We are seeking an Actuarial Consultant to join our dynamic team in London. This role is ideal for a recently qualified actuary or a part-qualified actuary who is actively working towards qualification. With opportunities for progression up to Partner level and essential experience in DB pensions, this position offers a promising career path in actuarial consultancy.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Calculate complex individual member calculations, check straightforward calculations, and progress to checking more complex calculations.
  • Undertake the bulk of the calculations for an actuarial valuation.
  • Review draft client reports and advice, and draft member communications.
  • Aim to become a Client Account Manager for a number of clients, starting to take on various Client Account Manager duties.
  • Attend client meetings and take an active role where applicable.
  • Support various types of client projects, working with our corporate team on a wide range of areas.
  • Provide general consultancy, dealing with clients' and third-party queries and day-to-day correspondence, providing technical advice where needed.
  • Manage client relationships, taking responsibility for the allocation and completion of work, and meeting deadlines, working directly with senior members of the client team.
Required Skills &

Qualifications:
  • Fellowship Qualifications FIA / FAA or part-qualified and making progress through the exams.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • DB pensions experience or a solid understanding of the basics of pensions.
