Join Specialist Risk Group (SRG) as a Senior Underwriter within our MXRS division, where you’ll handle complex legal indemnity risks and contribute to sustainable portfolio growth. This is a role for someone who enjoys technical underwriting, strong broker engagement and shaping high‑quality outcomes in a fast‑moving market.

You’ll underwrite a range of legal indemnity risks, including complex and high‑value cases, while supporting portfolio performance and maintaining strong relationships across the market.

• Assessing and underwriting legal indemnity risks within delegated authority
• Applying technical judgement to ensure alignment with pricing, guidelines and risk appetite
• Managing your pipeline to support income targets and conversion rates
• Building strong relationships with brokers, solicitors and distribution partners
• Contributing insights on trends, wordings and emerging risks
• Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting governance, audit and compliance standards

You’ll bring strong underwriting experience alongside a collaborative approach and commercial awareness.

• Proven experience underwriting legal indemnity risks
• Strong technical capability with experience handling complex cases
• Good commercial judgement with the ability to balance risk and reward
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• High attention to detail with a disciplined, structured approach
• Familiarity with underwriting governance, controls and compliance standards
