Assistant Accountant - Long term

A well-established and growing property business based in the heart of the West End is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing team of 12 within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.

Your new role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations across a diverse property portfolio. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to month-end processes, reporting, and stakeholder interaction.

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes where required
• Assist with accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
• Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Liaise with property managers and internal stakeholders on financial queries
• Assist with year-end audit preparation

What you'll need to succeed

• Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or studying towards a qualification
• Previous experience within an Assistant Accountant or similar role
• Prior exposure to the property sector highly advantageous
• Experience using Yardi (or similar property system) is highly desirable
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred)
• High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
