Tax Accountant

Interim Tax Accountant Central Birmingham (Hybrid - 2 days onsite) 6 Month Contract | Up to £450 per day (Inside IR35) | Immediate Start We are supporting a large, complex organisation in Central Birmingham to appoint an Interim Tax Accountant on a 6-month contract. This role sits within a well-structured finance function and will take ownership of UK corporate tax compliance and reporting , alongside broader exposure to financial reporting and month-end processes.

This is a strong opportunity for a technically capable, qualified accountant with hands-on UK tax experience who is available to start at short notice.

Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Reporting Prepare and submit UK corporation tax returns Manage quarterly corporation tax payments on account Prepare quarterly VAT and monthly CIS returns Calculate and post current and deferred tax Support tax disclosures within statutory accounts Maintain and enhance tax controls, processes and governance frameworks Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors Support IFRS tax reporting requirements Financial Reporting & Control Support monthly management accounts close Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations Deliver variance analysis against budget and forecast Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles Support statutory reporting and audit processes Partner with wider finance teams to improve reporting and controls Key Requirements Qualified Accountant ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA ) Strong UK Corporation Tax experience (essential) Experience preparing VAT returns Good understanding of IFRS reporting Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills Additional Information 6 month contract Up to £450 per day (Inside IR35) Hybrid working (2 days on site in Central Birmingham) Immediate start required Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
