Director, Securitised Products

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity to join our Securitised Products Trading team as a Director-level Operational Risk Specialist, partnering directly with deal teams to shape high-quality, secure transactions.

• Attending originator due diligence meetings and assisting with agenda items
• Reviewing transaction structures to assess appropriate segregation of duties and operational controls are in place and working with deal team for practical enhancements where required
• Working with the deal team to develop audit scopes
• Reviewing audit results and following up required remedial actions
• Assess transaction structural protections for double pledge, cash leakage and asset misrepresentation
• Work within the bank’s existing frameworks to ensure adequate management background checks and potential conflicts have been identified and considered
• Act as the liaison person between the deal team and credit
• Provide an overall operations risk assessment on whether the transaction structure mitigates fraud risk in addition to other risks and whether the transaction is worth pursuing

• Proven experience in structured finance / securitised products / capital markets or risk, audit, or transaction controls
• Strong ability to assess complex transaction structures and operational risks
• Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills
• Confidence in client-facing environments, with ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
• Strong collaboration skills across front office, risk, and control functions
• High integrity, sound judgement, and ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
