About this role

Our Private Business team, within the wider Tax and Legal practice, includes several Real Estate tax experts who provide specialist advice to clients ranging from large Real Estate Investment Trusts to high-net-worth property owners. The Southern Region is central to the industry, leading the firm's work on high-value, complex consulting for major property investors and specialist organisations. It also houses deep expertise in social housing, spanning traditional not-for-profit structures and emerging for-profit models.

Joining the team means contributing ideas, sharing specialist knowledge, and helping us continue to innovate while delivering best-in-class advice to a diverse customer base.

What your days will look like
  • Work across Real Estate tax and broader corporate tax consulting, with flexibility to build expertise in both areas depending on client needs and your interests.
  • Advise on property ownership structures, acquisitions, disposals, financing arrangements, and tax issues affecting UK and overseas investors and social businesses.
  • Lead due diligence work on property and corporate acquisitions, coordinating with specialists in VAT, Stamp Taxes, and the Construction Industry Scheme.
  • Manage client relationships, support junior colleagues, and work closely with Directors and Engagement Leaders on REIT matters and group reorganisations.
This role is for you If
  • ACA/CTA qualified (or an international equivalent), with a strong technical foundation relevant to the role.
  • Interested in Real Estate and housing, while being flexible to support wider tax areas as needed.
  • Experienced in key taxes including Corporation Tax, VAT, SDLT, and the Construction Industry Scheme.
  • Commercially aware, with a good understanding of the real estate and social business sectors.
  • Confident managing clients, solving complex problems, and leading projects within a collaborative team.
  • Motivated to develop yourself and others, with the potential to progress to Director over time.
What you'll receive from us

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions. We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
