Systems Accountant – Dynamics 365 Finance

6-Month Contract | Outside IR35

450 - 500 per day

London | Hybrid Working (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)

Working as part of the Finance function, you will act as the key link between Finance and Technology, ensuring the system supports efficient financial processes, accurate reporting and strong financial controls.

This role is ideally suited to a qualified accountant or finance systems professional with hands‑on experience using Dynamics 365 Finance within a finance environment. We are particularly interested in candidates who have operated as a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems Accountant or Finance Systems Analyst and have supported finance teams through system improvements and post‑implementation development.

• Act as the Finance Systems lead for Dynamics 365 Finance.
• Support and optimise finance processes across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets.
• Work closely with Finance users to identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
• Maintain finance system controls, data integrity and reporting structures.
• Support month‑end and year‑end reporting requirements from a systems perspective.
• Manage UAT, testing and validation of system changes and enhancements.
• Investigate and resolve finance system issues and user queries.
• Deliver user training and support adoption of system enhancements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and third‑party providers to implement agreed improvements.

• Proven experience working as a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems Accountant or Finance Systems Analyst.
• Strong experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance / D365 F&O.
• Good understanding of core finance processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets.
• Experience supporting finance users and improving finance system processes.
• Experience with UAT, testing and user training.
• Ability to work effectively with both Finance and IT stakeholders.

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience supporting a Dynamics 365 Finance implementation or post‑go‑live environment.
• Experience maintaining Chart of Accounts, financial dimensions and reporting structures.
• Exposure to finance controls, governance and process improvement initiatives.
