Opportunity

We are looking to grow our consulting business. To achieve this growth, we seek quality individuals with core pensions knowledge and experience building trusted relationships with CFOs of corporate sponsors, pension managers, trustees, and pension providers.

Expertise Required
  • Ongoing corporate pensions strategy
  • Pension end-game solutions including both run‑on strategies and risk transfer solutions
  • Pension risk transfer transactions, particularly implementing pension buy‑in transactions and supporting schemes between buy‑in and buy‑out
  • Scheme wind‑up experience
  • Data and analytics
  • Leveraging corporate and pension scheme data for value
  • Actuarial modelling and valuations
Key Responsibilities
  • Review numerical and written advice, liaising directly with clients
  • Manage client projects within scope and budget with minimal supervision
  • Lead client project teams and delegate work effectively
  • Create work deliverables based on client requirements
  • Provide pensions expertise/opinion within larger cross‑service line projects
  • Support senior management team with marketing initiatives
  • Build effective relationships in the market and within the EY network
  • Mentor, provide feedback, and train team members
  • Maintain high professional standards
Qualifications
  • Passion for outstanding client service and quality client advice
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Previous consulting experience, ideally on corporate work or BPA transactions
  • Strong understanding of building client relationships
  • Track record of achieving value outcomes for clients across multiple stakeholders on complex assignments
  • Self‑starter with a can‑do attitude and energy to try new things
  • Enjoy working with people from a range of backgrounds and disciplines
  • Deep knowledge and experience of the UK pensions environment
  • Actuarial modelling experience and ability to oversee actuarial calculations
  • Commercial awareness
  • Project management skills
  • Initiative and creativity
  • Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity, recognizing that the world is changing
