Trade & Treasury Operations – 9M FTC £70-85K + bens and bonus

Our client, a highly regarded Investment firm with circa $75

Bil of AUM is looking to add to their centralised execution function within the broader Client Operations team by hiring an experienced Trade Operations professional to support the accurate and timely execution of client investment and cash management activities across a diverse range of asset classes. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the global Client Operations team and will report directly to the Head of Trade and Treasury Operations for Europe and Asia.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure client investment and treasury requirements are implemented in a timely and accurate manner across multiple asset classes including private placement and hedge funds (with specific attention paid to the terms of the funds such as fee classes, minimums, fund notice periods, gates, lock up periods), UCITs and mutual fund orders, and processing cash payments for clients and capital call payments for private placement funds.
  • Review, validate, and issue execution instructions for a variety of investment products including ETF funds and equity trades (being aware of specific tax and regional restrictions as well as resolving settlement issues), foreign exchange (spot and forwards for portfolio hedging purposes), futures, and direct fixed income.
  • Process client cash payments, subscriptions, redemptions, and transfers in line with agreed deadlines.
  • Manage and process capital call payments for private placement funds, ensuring funding is accurate and on time.
  • Liaise with fund managers, custodians, administrators, and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and exceptions.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience in investment operations, fund administration, treasury operations, or middle office within financial services, ideally within an Asset Management environment.
  • Strong understanding of investment products, particularly private placements, hedge funds, UCITS, and mutual funds.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply fund documentation and investment terms.
  • Experience using Bloomberg AIM or other OMS.
  • Familiar with the relevant market regulations and reporting requirements, such as MIFID II and EMIR.
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment, and the ability to analyse issues quickly and independently, to take appropriate action with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate the ability to evaluate and interpret numerical data in order to spot potential errors in complex trade execution plans.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
