MUFG is seeking a Vice President, Special Credits EMEA to join their highly respected team in London. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role within one of the world’s largest and most trusted financial institutions, renowned for its global reach and commitment to responsible banking. As part of the EMEA Special Credits department, you will be at the forefront of managing complex distressed and problem assets across a diverse range of industries, products, and jurisdictions.

** What you'll do:
** As Vice President, Special Credits EMEA at MUFG in London, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of corporate banking credit risk management. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with colleagues across regions to develop robust workout strategies for distressed assets. You will be instrumental in shaping recommendations that influence major credit decisions while engaging directly with borrowers and external stakeholders to negotiate favourable outcomes.
Your analytical skills will be put to use as you assess complex financial situations across multiple industries and jurisdictions. Success in this role requires not only technical expertise but also the ability to communicate clearly with senior leaders and maintain strong relationships throughout the organisation. By supporting portfolio monitoring initiatives and participating actively in early warning assessments, you will help safeguard MUFG’s interests while upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance.
* Assist in developing comprehensive action plans and workout strategies under various restructuring options while preparing regular updates for senior management.
* Compile detailed recommendations on optimal strategies supported by thorough options analysis to protect the bank’s exposure across different layers of capital structures.
* Act as a key counterpart to front line leadership, coverage bankers, credit managers, product origination teams, and second line credit officers on deteriorating names as appropriate.
