Overview

This is an Analyst-level opportunity within the direct private equity investing business of a private equity firm. The platform has been operating for over 30 years, invests across a broad range of industries, geographies, and transaction types, and is supported by approximately 100 dedicated investment professionals globally. The latest flagship fund is a $9.7 billion vehicle. The strategy is focused on long-term capital appreciation through commitments to high-quality companies with strong management teams, combined with active operational and financial value creation.

Analysts join a team of investment professionals responsible for the full acquisition and management lifecycle of investments across the Americas and Europe. The role offers exposure to a wide range of high-profile transaction types including management buyouts, take‑privates, add‑on acquisitions, build‑ups, restructurings, recapitalizations, and dispositions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source, identify, and evaluate attractive investment themes and opportunities across industries and geographies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with management teams, senior advisors, and external industry experts.
  • Perform comprehensive due diligence on prospective investments.
  • Support the financing, structuring, and closing of transactions.
  • Develop, monitor, and implement value creation strategies across the existing portfolio.
  • Contribute to all stages of the investment cycle as an integral member of the deal team.
Skills & Experience
  • One to two years of experience at a leading investment bank, consulting firm, corporate, private equity firm, or alternative asset manager.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with a strong academic and professional track record.
  • Strong quantitative, financial modelling, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, a strong work ethic, and genuine enthusiasm for private equity investing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a resourceful approach to problem‑solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in a European language is an advantage.
  • Versatility in adapting analytical and investment thinking across different industries and geographies.
  • Ability to work independently, form sound judgments, and take initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across a wide variety of stakeholders.
Why This Role Stands Out
  • Direct exposure to a broad deal pipeline spanning the Americas and Europe across multiple transaction types and sectors.
  • Integration into a team of approximately 100 investment professionals within a platform with over three decades of operating history.
  • Involvement in the full investment lifecycle from origination through to exit, providing meaningful early‑career breadth.
  • Active participation in portfolio value creation, not limited to transaction execution alone.
