Maiden Marc Advisory is working with an industry-leading retained executive search boutique with offices in London and New York to find several Associate and Senior Associate-level profiles to join one of their core practices.

Covering a range of Financial Service markets, the business has a long track record of executing both C-Suite mandates and senior revenue-generating searches within Hedge Funds, Investment Banks, Private Equity, and Asset/Wealth Managers.

Working directly alongside and supporting a hands-on Partners personally billing in excess of £1.5 million a year from either their Front-Office Markets (across Private Markets or Front-Office Quant) or Technology and Digital practices, the right individual for the role will be responsible for executing high-level search mandates from day one.

You will be encouraged to build your network in the market, manage senior professionals as a trusted advisor, and ultimately be actively supported in developing into a retained fee-generating Principal, taking responsibility for a revenue area of your own.

Core skills for the role include the ability to:

  • Identify, reference, and proactively reach out and assess candidates for active retained mandates
  • Create detail-oriented forensic competitor analysis, strategic overviews, bespoke market benchmarking and product intelligence reports, referencing and profiling market leaders
  • Execute on search mandates, focusing on candidate management and client delivery, while working closely with the Partners on closing candidates and developing further working relationships with clients
  • Own pre-pitch/origination research and due diligence responsibilities

The firm is several years into a 5-year strategic growth plan and is seeking Associate and Senior Associate-level talent to become future Principals. All high-performing Associates will be able to make a genuine impact with the firm, and their commitment to internal commercial development is evident in their outstanding track record of promoting talent through the business.

They are looking for someone who ideally has the following:

  • 12 months to six years of experience, preferably within a search or headhunting environment, though they would consider a high-performing contingent recruiter looking for a move to retained search or someone coming from a relevant professional services background
  • Worked on executive search mandates, market research projects or has the drive to take on this type of detail-oriented role moving forward
  • Experience across Private Markets, Front Office Quant or Senior Technology-focused candidate pools
  • Excellent academic credentials with a degree or postgraduate qualification are highly sought-after, alongside exemplary writing skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • A mature but driven personality that enjoys problem-solving, is motivated to deliver high-quality work, and has a natural drive to overachieve

The salary band for the role depends on experience, starting at £50,000 and increasing based on background and delivery track record, reaching £80,000 for more experienced, genuine Principal-level candidates.
