Location: Greater London

A specialist finance and accounting advisory firm is looking to appoint a Managing Director to join its senior leadership team.

This is a senior client-facing role, working closely with C‑suite executives across large corporates, mid‑market businesses and high‑growth companies. The role will involve leading complex advisory engagements, building long‑term client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the firm.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead high-impact finance and accounting advisory engagements across a range of sectors
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior clients on technical accounting, transaction support and regulatory reporting
  • Manage client relationships and identify opportunities to expand the firm’s market presence
  • Oversee engagements from scoping through to delivery, ensuring high-quality outputs
  • Work with executive teams and auditors to resolve complex accounting issues
  • Deliver financial and regulatory reporting support in line with relevant requirements
  • Drive business development through market relationships and new client opportunities
  • Mentor and develop teams across multiple levels
  • Contribute to thought leadership, training and firm-wide knowledge sharing
Candidate profile
  • ACA, ACCA, CPA and/or MBA qualified
  • 14+ years’ experience across accounting, finance, advisory or consulting
  • Big 4 background highly desirable
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge across IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP
  • Experience advising senior stakeholders on complex reporting or accounting matters
  • Strong client relationship management and business development capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, commercially minded and able to lead multiple engagements
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and committed to high-quality client service
