Equifind is representing a West End based, UK leading Private Equity firm who are looking to hire a Junior Accountant.
Long term they see this as the ideal training ground for someone with 2-years+ experience, who would like to continue studying towards their ACCA/CIMA exams; and ultimately become a qualified accountant for the business.

The RoleThe key responsibilities for this permanent Junior Accountant role for a West End based, UK leading Private Equity firm will be:
- Manage accounts payable invoices and payments.
- Processing corporate employee's expenses through 'Pleo' (an expense management system).
- Monitoring the group cash position.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Month-end accounting, including updating quarter-end working papers.
- Posting month-end journals (fixed assets, depreciation, prepayments, accruals).
- VAT returns.
- Recharges.
- Processing monthly payroll.
- Monitoring and reconciliation of the intercompany balances.
- Assisting with audit process for year-end.
- Ad-hoc projects.
To be considered for the role of permanent Junior Accountant with a West End based, UK leading Private Equity firm, candidates should ideally be:
- Ideally a qualified AAT accounting professional or part-qualified accountant
- Have an ambition or real desire to pursue the CIMA or ACCA qualification
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment
- Confident in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
- Attention to detail is essential
- Strong communication skills
- Ideally intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Look Up, Sum If)
- Willing to be part of a team and engage with others
The permanent Junior Accountant role with a West End based, UK leading Private Equity firm will be paid a competitive market based salary with full study support (CIMA, ACCA).
- Hybrid working pattern. 3-days per week in the office, 2-days WFH, remotely
